The method draws its strength by harnessing the power of information. All the factors may impact the skin’s beauty are collected through an extensive diagnostic phase. From the outset, Madame Delorme understood the need to include, for example, the roles of diet, lifestyle, stress, hormonal cycle, climate and other factors in defining the skin care protocol.
Considering the multitude of factors involved is what we call the “Gisèle Delorme global approach”. It’s the foundation of the relationship of trust between the expert derma-therapist and her client.
The method is based on 4 areas of expertise mastered by the derma-therapist:

THE PRODUCTS
The products of the Gisèle Delorme range are designed to deliver a made-to-measure treatment. You have at your disposal a “toolbox” with which to compose a personalized treatment at every phase.
In a beauty salon, for example, depending on the diagnosis, you can take advantage of the differentiating properties of a same product yet applied differently, of product combinations within the same family, and of a combination of active ingredients from serums to be integrated into almost every phase of the treatment.
For example, depending on the diagnosis, in the cleansing phase, the exfoliating cream can be used in 3 different ways:
- For normal to oily skin, you can enjoy the cleansing power of manual exfoliation performed until full flacking is achieved.
- On the other hand, for dull, mature skin with pigmentation spots, this same exfoliating cream should be used in combination with Essential Glow renovating Serum to benefit from a dual exfoliation. Mechanical from the cream and chemical, thanks to AHA in the serum.
- For sensitive to dehydrated skin, the scrub should be used as a cleanser. The combination of water and scrub will provide a gentler mechanical action.
In the subsequent phases of the treatment, customized combinations are further enhanced:
- Combinations of serums to provide in-depth coverage of the various needs required for customized care.
- Combination of several masks while adding the benefits of serums.
Gisèle Delorme’s product formulas are complex, for several reasons.
First, to meet the result expectations of a demanding clients. And results mean formulas with multiple active ingredients.
The second is the specificity of our galenic formulations. We want to achieve the best possible bioavailability our active ingredients can achieve, which implies the use of sophisticated galenic formulations such as emulsions.
Finally, two important comments. For the same level of performance, we will select a natural ingredient, even if more expensive. Whenever possible, we use the olfactory note of one of the ingredients to add a fleeting touch of fragrance. There’s no need to overload haute-cosmétique formulas with a fragrance (which is a formula in itself). This approach allows those who so wish to wear their fragrance without it being altered by scent of their skincare.
