But how do you prepare your body and your mind for this long-awaited relaxation? This week, we will give you all our tips to be at the top, even on vacation (yes, that’s possible!)
I adopt a balanced diet!
This time, no fuss! There will be no excuses: say yes! to a real diet of fruits and vegetables! Hydration, that’s not new, is key to a beautiful skin (a healthy mind in a healthy body). Of course, serums and creams are compulsory, but your diet is also key to a healthy skin! Some food will give your skin everything it needs to maintain youth and flexibility! Choose fatty fish, like tuna or salmon, rapeseed oil, olive oil or walnut oil to bring Omega 3 and 6 in your diet! A little tip? Drink warm lemon water every morning! Lemon juice boosts the elimination of waste matter and toxins that tend to remain in your lymphatic system and cause skin imperfections. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables will help you to get your fill of antioxidants: radiant complexion guaranteed!
I take time for myself!
Fatigue, intense stress, anxiety, insomnia, loss of motivation … Because you can easily fall into a routine and forget yourself, it is essential to be able to listen to your body and also to your mind. Relax and put things into perspective. Everything can wait. Taking time for yourself is key to your fulfillment and well-being. Work is very important in our lives and sometimes it is difficult to know how to withdraw from it. Give yourself 10 minutes a day: meditation is very good for the brain. Walking barefoot in the wet sand with a proper gait cycle is ideal for relaxing your muscles and your whole body.
I am relaxed!
Practicing activities in order to release pressure is ideal when you realise that, on average, you spend more than of 38 hours per week at work. Because nothing is sadder than a life without pleasure, you must fill it as much as possible with things you like! Enjoy the hotel swimming pool (for the less adventurous, you can just walk in the water: it’s great for the body), test the yoga classes, at last finish the book you started 6 months ago. One watchword: relax!
I take time with the people I love!
Because happiness is only real when shared, taking time for yourself is also being there for the people you love (and only for those). Avoid harmful people and enjoy the company of those who give you a boost: your family, your friends and why not newly-met friends? Bring your children to water activities, say yes to your boyfriend for a tête-à-tête dinner (who knows, maybe does he want to treat you to a Gisele Delorme treatment in one of our centres of expertise?).
And then, have a good night’s sleep!
Sleep 8 hours a night, even more if needed! What better time than the holidays to sleep late? The lack of sleep affects your mental and physical health and therefore your personal fulfilment! Sleep also has a positive influence on your skin! Your skin’s cells regenerate during the night with a peak between 2 and 4am: hence the need to not forget to apply your care before going to bed.
